VAPE CARTS
Ever been at the gym or the grocery store – or anywhere in public like that – and smelled weed coming from the person next to you? Chances are they don’t even know that they are giving off that very strong Eau de Cannabis aroma. It happens to me all the time, where I smell weed on someone because they just burnt a joint in the car, or before leaving the house, and they are nose blind to how bad they actually reek (I know, some people just don’t care …but I’m not talking about them). Knowing how bad others have smelled around me makes me very self-conscience when I go out in public and in turn can give me a bit of anxiety; the opposite of what I want to feel after a nice sesh.
I can’t grocery shop sober though so what do I do? Edibles and infused drinks are awesome but you never know when they’re going to kick in or how hard they’ll kick you so it was never an ideal choice for me in these circumstances. That’s when I discovered cannabis vape carts.
Upon first glance the carts appear to be very strong and very potent, with THC readings of over 80-90 percent, however, even with those high numbers, they don’t smack as hard as you think they would. They still slap big time, don’t get me wrong, it’s just a different high then you get from smoking flower and it takes a bit to get used to.
The first time I tried a .510 vape cart I was waiting for the high to hit me just like it would after a big bong load …but that didn’t happen. Instead, I got a creeping high that took awhile to set in and lasted for several hours. I found it to be more of a total body high than anything else; it was one of the most unique and euphoric feeling highs that I had felt in quite some time.
I was extra relaxed and even more calm knowing that vapors weren’t sticking to me either, like the smoke does. I was able to run errands in public without that worry of “do I smell like weed”, which is usually followed by anxiety and worry; there was none of that for me …which also makes them ideal for family functions, FYI.
Fast forward a couple years and I’m a regular vape user now. I’ve tried most of the legal carts available on the market, in order to find out what I like and what works for me, and now I mainly just focus on the few carts that really seem to work for me. I usually have about 3-5 carts in my regular rotation. I like to have variety, depending on what I’m doing that day. I’m usually not looking to get super high when I vape, I’m just looking to stay calm and feel good …but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy getting really messed up from time to time either.
For the most part, I enjoy a bit of CBD in my cart but I’ve been known to chase those high THC numbers from time to time too; it all depends on where I’m going, what I’m doing and what time of day it is. If I’m chilling with the homies, I’m going THC cart all day. If I’m just hanging solo, running errands, reading a book or just loafing around, it’s CBD. Nighttime, same thing; CBD.
Not only does the smell not cling to your clothes with vapes, they also taste delicious. The added terpenes give them a huge flavour boost, so much so that you can sometimes forget you’re even smoking weed which can cause you to easily overindulge (which is fine with me haha …I like to get high).
The Purple Monkey from Good Supply and Banana Daze from BZAM have been the tastiest carts for me. The Purple Monkey tasted like grape soda or how the grape bubble-licious used to taste, while the Banana Daze reminded me of banana Runtz …so good.
I’ve also discovered a new vape cart recently, one that will be working its way into my regular nighttime rotation soon, and that’s the Northbound CBN cart. There’s not much research on CBN yet but I found it to be like CBD on steroids; I’ve had such good sleeps since discovering this cart last month and it has really calmed my nerves lately. Might be my new favourite to be honest.
I gotta go puff on one now but if you’re looking at getting into the vape scene yourself, there are tons of options for you. There are full spectrum carts (no added terps; more of a weedy taste), flavourful carts, menthol tasting carts, CBD carts, THC carts, 1:1 carts; you name it, the Peace Pipe has it!
…Just stay away from the carts I mentioned above; I need those for myself, all of them!!!
